How to Enter
To enter the Green Business Awards you will need to download and complete an Entry Submission Template. You will need to provide a brief description of your actions and achievements. You can illustrate the submission to aid the judges in their evaluation of your case study.
Once you hace completed your submission you should convert the file to a PDF and upload it to the Awards Entry Website.
Please note - the PDF file must be no larger than a maximum of 5 MB.
Entry eligibility criteria and rules
Before completing your entry, please check the eligibility criteria and rules below. Adhering to the following entry information will maximize your chances of success.
Entering organisations must be based in or operate in the UK.
Each organisation may enter a maximum of three entries.
The activities and results covered in entries should relate to UK operations, or to European or global level including the UK. Entrants must specify the geographical scope of activities and data presented.
Activities and results covered in entries to the Awards should relate to the last one to two years, up to the end of calendar year 2011, or financial year 2011-12.
Entries that have been submitted to the Green Business Awards in earlier years must be updated to the current judging period before being re-submitted.
Organisations entering the awards can be profit-making companies or non-profits, including charities and public bodies. Divisions, departments or business units within larger organisations may also enter. Entrants must specify the operational scope.
Entries may be submitted on behalf of a third party organisation with that organisation’s approval. In this case a checkable email address for a senior person at the third party organisation being entered must be supplied.
Entries to Green Business Awards may be withdrawn upon written request at any time up to the closing date for entries.
Entry fees are non-refundable.
Entries must be made via the dedicated online system provided.
Activities and results entered may relate to specific projects or to organisation-wide and/or ongoing initiatives.
Entrants are encouraged to submit supplementary information in electronic format, while remembering that the online entry form will be the primary source of information used by the judges.
All entries must be accompanied by three high-quality images.
Decisions of the judging panel are full and final and the Green Business Awards will not enter into any correspondence relating to them.
The organisers reserve the right to retain entries for subsequent publication. Descriptions of submissions from winners and runners-up will be published in connection with the Awards. Entrants may mark certain sensitive parts of their entry 'not for publication' (such as exact budget figures etc.), provided such restrictions are not used unreasonably.
